We’re pleased to announce that our Annual Membership Meeting is set for Saturday, January 15, at Main Street Garden & Café in Soquel! Main Street is dedicated to maintaining and nurturing a symbiotic relationship with the Santa Cruz community and they choose ingredients that support sustainability and taste.
Not only will we hold elections and announce the new board at the meeting, we’ll have lots of exciting news! Erin Justus of Companion Bakers represented Santa Cruz at Terra Madre, Slow Food’s international meeting in Turin, Italy. She brought back pictures, stories, and inspiration to share with our chapter. We’ll also have opportunities to sign up for committees, voice your ideas, and enjoy the conviviality that makes Slow Food unique. AND Main Street has generously offered to donate 25% of proceeds from dinners that night to Slow Food Santa Cruz to seed our projects for 2011.

Tickets will be available at the door ($10/member; $12/non-member), and include light seasonal appetizers. Wine and beer will be available for purchase. If you plan to stay for dinner (or come just for dinner), call the restaurant at 831-477-9265 to make a reservation. The restaurant is cozy, so reserve your table early. And don’t forget to come hungry – 25% of your dinner bill will be donated to SFSC!
